DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Customer Engineer: G-Drive to join our team specializing in Engineering for our EMEIA Engineering Department in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Technical Liaison: Act as the bridge between OEMs and customers, ensuring smooth communication and understanding during new product development programs.
- Specification Development: Create and implement technical specifications and new design configurations to integrate Cummins' products into customer vehicles.
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve integration and installation issues, recommending appropriate actions and documenting results.
- Process Improvement: Support and enhance processes like Installation Quality Assurance and OEM integration, using tools such as Advisor, COLS, and GCE.
- Decision Making: Make informed decisions on product selection, design, and integration that impact machine performance, optimization, and quality.
- Customer Relationships: Build strong working relationships with customer technical counterparts, serving as their primary liaison for technical information and issue resolution.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality installations by validating prototype machine performance and meeting Cummins' requirements.
- Team Contribution: Contribute effectively to team goals, influence work groups, and develop proficiency in critical competency areas, coordinating work among technicians and temporary employees as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Technical Expertise: A solid understanding of diesel engines, subsystems (cooling, fuel systems, etc.), and generator sets, along with their integration into power systems. Familiarity with Cummins' full range of diesel engines and an eagerness to learn about the Natural Gas product range.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze technical issues using proven problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques to ensure rapid resolution and optimization of performance, reliability, cost, and quality.
- Customer Focus: Strong skills in evaluating system performance, addressing failures or concerns, and responding proactively to evolving user needs and technology changes to enhance user satisfaction and manage operational costs.
- Self-Motivation and Autonomy: The capability to work independently with remote guidance and coaching, demonstrating initiative and the ability to manage your tasks and responsibilities effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- Familiar with our full range of diesel engines from 2,5 up to 95 liter displacement
- Relevant experience in the Power Generation field, having working knowledge of both diesel engines and subsystems (cooling system, fuel system, etc.)
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
- Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
