DESCRIPTION

Looking for only Diploma holders. Candidates who have completed BE/B.Tech need not apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply technical principles of dimensional measurement science to test systems and processes with minimal supervision.
• Conduct basic and complex product and component testing using a range of measurement methods and Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE).
• Develop and document testing procedures using best practices and/or consensus standards, including automated procedures as needed.
• Act as a technical resource in day-to-day lab operations, assisting the engineering team with complex measurements and M&TE support.
• Coordinate purchases of appropriate lab services and consumables.
• Support continuous improvement activities related to data quality and the lab quality system.
• Perform periodic maintenance and calibration of lab equipment/instruments/sensors. Maintain quality standards.
• Ensure 5S (Good Level of Housekeeping) in the lab area.

• Data Reporting : Prepare documentation that clearly organizes and presents testing methods, instrument settings, data, and analysis for engineers and customers.
• Product Function Test System Design : Interpret test equipment specifications from test standards or lab customer requirements; select and integrate appropriate equipment, instrumentation, and software.
• Test Setup and Configuration : Interpret test plans to determine optimal location and orientation within a test space, fabricate required systems with appropriate materials.
• Test Article Build : Assemble test articles according to test requirements, including necessary installation or accommodations for instrumentation.
• Preventative and Predictive Maintenance : Develop and execute preventative and predictive management strategies based on machine and tool maintenance records and data.
• Data Quality : Identify, understand, and correct flaws in data to support effective information governance across operational business processes and decision-making.
• Problem Solving : Solve problems and mentor others on effective problem-solving using systematic analysis processes and industry-standard methodologies.
• Values Differences : Recognize the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

• Diploma in Mechanical/Metrology/Production/Automotive Engineering or other relevant fields.

• Good knowledge of GD&T.
• Proficiency in programming all measurement equipment (CMM, surface roughness).
• Basic knowledge of IC engines, engine components, and engine installations/applications.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Requires some work experience and intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
