DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhancing Production Efficiency : By supporting engineers in production-related tasks and inspections, you'll help streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensuring Quality Control : Monitoring material quality and making necessary adjustments will ensure that the final products meet high standards.
  • Maintaining Accurate Records : Keeping thorough documentation and records will support traceability and accountability in production processes.
  • Identifying Defects : Comparing physical characteristics of components and products to technical specifications will help identify and address defects early.
  • Conducting Reliable Tests : Performing simple tests on electrical functions, reliability, and packaging quality will ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Providing Technical Insights : Recording results and preparing technical reports will provide valuable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Supporting Customer Understanding : Assisting customers in interpreting product specifications and measurement data will enhance customer satisfaction and trust.
  • Ensuring Equipment Accuracy : Participating in maintenance, calibration, and uncertainty studies will ensure measurement and test equipment remain accurate and reliable.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Prefer significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Skills:

  • Part print reading, GD&T
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Database management (Quality Management System examples: DMS, CQMS, LPA)
  • ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Working Knowledge
  • Effective written/verbal communication
  • Basic Problem Solving & management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to train others
  • Attention to detail
  • Promote a continuous improvement attitude
  • Quality Champion Program Graduates (preferred, not required)
  • Turbocharger product knowledge; (Preferred)
  • Turbocharger Salvage / Assembly process knowledge; (Preferred)
  • Experience in Remanufacturing / ReCon is a plus.
  • Material Science / Metallurgy knowledge is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk continuously over a 12-hour shift.
  • Must be able to walk from operations area to designated fire exits, meetings areas, etc up to 1280 feet.
  • Must push/pull wheeled carts requiring up to 85lb for
  • Occasionally team-lift parts over 50 lbs. Frequent walking, pushing, kneeling, stooping, bending, & squatting. May be required to operate PIVs on a limited basis.
  • Ability & willingness to be flexible with job responsibilities (support new/other areas of the business), working hours, or shifts (flex between 1st & 3rd shift) to support meeting customer needs, team goals & business needs.
