Job Summary:
Completes diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop under limited supervision.

- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
(Intermediate):
- Applies documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools Disassemble, clean and inspect chassis and /or chassis components
- Performs preventative maintenance based on assessment of chassis and chassis components
- Assists more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of chassis repair plans in the workshop
- Completes required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
- Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation Adheres to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred).
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for chassis repairs
Must be self starter
Must be motivated and willing to learn
Must have the drive to meet all required KPI's
Must have thorough knowledge of all chassis related components to include, steering, suspension, drivetrain, brakes, ABS
Must be able to diagnose chassis issues
Must be able to follow all safety guidelines
Must have thorough knowledge of DOT Inspection Regulations
This role requires attention to detail, physical dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
Must have excellent problem solving and communications skills
Must maintain a clean work area
DOT
- A current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older"

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
