DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic BOP Project Coordinator to join our Power Generation team. This role focuses on freight management, procurement of outbuys, and ensuring the timely processing of vendor invoices. The ideal candidate will be organized, a strategic thinker, and comfortable with change.

  • Coordinates documents and gathers and inputs data related to assigned administrative support duties for a team, department, function or other organizational leader/group.
  • Provides administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports and addressing routine information requests.
  • Gathers, compiles and verifies information and enters it accurately into documents such as reports, presentations or forms; and office systems such as databases or spreadsheets.
  • Assists with associate functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, supporting vendors through the payment process, and scheduling meetings.
  • Participates as a team member on departmental related business improvement assignments and projects as needed.
  • Performs other routine administrative activities as needed per the established procedures of the organization and/or department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers in applying BOP processes and project management skills within the BOP (Balance of Plant) area.
  • Using the Cummins Business Management System (BMS), create and issue purchase orders (POs) for outside vendors or internal distribution centers for parts and accessories not ordered through the Cummins factory.
  • Track parts and provide updates on Salesforce and other internal project management software.
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure they are tied to specific projects and work orders (WOs).
  • Communicate freight, parts and claim status to the project management team.
  • Provide administrative and logistics support for support for any freight or parts issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
