DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Accounting Supervisor to join our team specializing in Finance for Cummins in Cameri, Italy.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Oversee and maintain the fiscal ledgers for the manufacturing facility in Cameri, Italy, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with Italian regulations and coordinate all necessary local statutory filings, including indirect and direct taxes.
- Collaborate closely with external advisors (CTP), auditors (PwC), and tax consultants (KPMG), as well as internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to regulations.
- Supervise and guide a team of general accountants and accounting clerks in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring proper accounting processes are followed.
- Implement accounting policies under the direction of the Accounting Manager and establish procedures that capture, track, and report revenue and expenditures accurately.
- Review and analyze complex financial information, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting reports.
- Identify control weaknesses within the accounting system, communicate findings to management, and lead efforts to remediate and enhance controls to mitigate risk.
- Mentor and coach accounting staff, assigning work based on skill and development needs, assessing performance, and providing feedback for continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Extensive knowledge of Italian GAAP and local Italian regulations, with fluency in Italian and proficiency in English.
- Strong communication skills, capable of developing and delivering clear, multi-modal communications tailored to the unique needs of different audiences.
- Expertise in business process evaluation and internal control risk analysis, with the ability to identify risks, develop process improvements, and implement risk management plans.
- Proficient in financial analysis, interpreting financial data to identify trends, variances, opportunities, and risks, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders for business improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.
- Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required, including some supervisory experience.
