DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented 3 rd Shift CSI Auditor to join our team specializing in Quality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Lakewood, NY.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure Quality Compliance : By ensuring that all products received or produced meet technical specifications, you will maintain high standards of quality.
  • Support Production Line Quality : Assisting with the verification of the final quality of products on the production line will help in delivering defect-free products.
  • Identify Defects : Comparing the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and products to technical specifications will help in identifying and addressing defects early.
  • Segregate Non-compliant Products : Separating products that do not meet the desired technical specifications ensures that only high-quality products reach the customers.
  • Utilize Measurement Techniques : Using basic measurement techniques and equipment to assess product quality will contribute to maintaining consistency and reliability.
  • Document Quality Issues : Documenting products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems will help in tracking and resolving quality issues efficiently.
  • Adhere to Quality Standards : Following the norms and standards of quality defined by the company will ensure compliance and uphold the company's reputation.
  • Continuous Improvement : Your role will contribute to continuous improvement in the production process by identifying areas for quality enhancement and implementing necessary changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Manage Conflict : Handle conflict situations with minimal disruption, maintaining a productive and harmonious work environment.
  • Apply Measurement Science : Analyze measurement processes to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty, applying metrology principles across various domains such as Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, Radiation, and Physical measurements.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Minimal or no work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information

  • The CSI Auditor role is critical to preventing defects from escaping our plant and being found by our OEM customers.
  • Customer Specific Inspection occurs on our ship dock at the stage when the engine is ready for shipment.
  • The CSI Auditor will use known defect data and a standard list of specific items to be inspected by Customer.
  • The CSI Auditor will use the mobile electronic format (Tablet) for entering audits into the engine audit system and recording photographs.
  • CSI audit data will be presented to various quality forums.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The

final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's

qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
