US Medical Managed Markets & Real-World Evidence Lead

You will report into the Head of U.S. Medical Affairs. You will participate in setting the strategy for internal and external key account engagements and value propositions. Provide requested clinical and scientific information to members of the provider and payor community. Develop and execute upon population decision maker account engagement plans with scientific and value-based evidence discussions (e.g., payers, policy leaders, health systems, large provider organizations, value-based care.)

  • External Engagement
    • Interpret and apply data generated to effective value-based messages to support external stakeholder engagements.
    • Deliver value-based presentations and communications (e.g., RWE, economic models, dossiers, pipeline overviews) with external stakeholders and in alignment with Vifor Market Access), in compliance with all relevant company policies.
    • Identify and internally disseminate strategically relevant actionable insights from PBDMs.
    • Train medical team up on payer engagement and RWE
    • Present accurate scientific and economics information to internal and PBDM audiences.
    • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies in all aspects of information dissemination.

Establish and maintain relationships with diverse external medical, payer, policy, and other thought leaders.

Identify and deliver evidence-based value discussions to support the medical, payer and other thought leadership community as aligned with CSL Vifor disease state interest areas.

Maintain and grow broad professional expertise (e.g., RWE methods; therapeutically relevant clinical practices; payer & healthcare delivery ecosystem; health policy; digital health and health innovation; business/soft skills.)
  • Attend relevant symposia and scientific workshops; review of key journals; complete and internal training.
  • Resource generation
  • Partner with Medical colleagues / agencies on keeping RWE-related resources (slides, SRL, dossier) current

Partner with sales and managed care on relevant training needs or responding to unsolicited requests
  • Real-world evidence
  • Demonstrate expertise in identifying evidence gaps and align opportunities with organizational strategic and operational goals.
  • Successfully align cross-functional support of proposed projects.
  • Proposed ideas to Global for potential project consideration and budgeting

Requirements:
  • MD, PharmD, PhD or other allied medical degree required.
  • 10+ experience in biotech/pharma, or comparable experience
  • 8+ years' direct experience with evidence generation
  • 8+ years' experience with clinical/economic communications in medical managed markets, RWE data science/analytics role(s) (or combined related academic training plus experience)
  • Ability to travel 40-60%

The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is $175K - $195K. Please note this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base salary for you is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies, and other relevant factors. In addition to base salary, total compensation for this role will also include sales incentive compensation and may include equity.
