The Senior Director, Head of Medical Affairs, LatAm & Partner Business will provide strategic, operational, and medical leadership for a high-performance Medical Affairs organization across the CSL Behring responsible cluster, supporting ~$0.9B in revenue. This is a critical role to drive medical strategy and execution excellence for a critical function, enabling commercial growth objectives through evidence generation, scientific engagement, thought leadership and talent development.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities

•Oversees and directs responsible cluster, Lead Medical Directors' activities in developing and executing tactics of the strategic plan for all products and therapeutic areas across life-cycle phases, from launch planning through post-marketing.

•Lead cluster Medical teams to oversee business strategy. Work with Evidence Generation team to design, and development of post marketing studies, including interfacing with community thought leaders, protocol design and evaluations. Drives projects to on time completion within budget and resolves issues as they occur.

•Leads CSL Behring's Medical Affairs cluster team interests with internal and external stakeholders, leads the Medical Affairs cluster team to oversee and interact with relative regulatory agencies.

•Functions as the scientific medical expert internally and externally with national and cluster stakeholders. Serves as a consultant to CSL's Business Units, Sales and Marketing, ABC, Global Clinical R&D, Global R&D, Global Pharmacovigilance and Promotion Review Committee (PRC) on medical aspects of the company's products.

•Ensures strong, efficient, and effective utilization of Medical Affairs operations. Ensures the direction of Field Medical organizations are aligned to performance objectives and global Medical Affairs consistent practice.

•Ensures responsible clusters' Medical Affairs team is properly staffed to appropriately serve as an internal scientific expert for all disease states and products and that all personnel are trained and strong in medical, scientific, and regulatory knowledge as well as industry research and trends. Drives development plan for direct reports and guides development of functional departments.

•Ensures the support of the internal training and development initiatives for sales trainers and sales and marketing personnel in the preparation of written and oral educational materials on relevant topics and on an appropriate scientific level, consistent to meet the requirements from responsible clusters' market and the global medical affairs

•Leads the responsible medical affairs cluster to provide final review and approval of scientific communications on company products and therapeutic areas

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

•MD with 12+ years of pharmaceutical/biotherapeutics industry experience

•Clinical experience, preferably in a specialty relevant to CSL's therapeutic areas/products

•8+ years of Executive Medical Affairs Leadership experience

•Experience building and leading matrixed teams in a global organization

•Strong capabilities in clinical research, evidence generation, scientific engagement, and a demonstrated record of

•Influential leader who builds relationships across stakeholder types

•Executive presence with ability to communicate complex data persuasively and relate study results and knowledge of therapeutic area to industry-specific applications

•Strong working knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas and products
