The Role

Could you be our next Procurement Specialist? This is a hybrid opportunity at any of our Holly Springs, NC location.

You will support the Capex & MRO activities for the Kankakee facility. With this, you are responsible for the procurement activities relating to quality, cost, delivery and service to ensure best value for CSL. Also, you will help develop strategies for assigned categories. You support sourcing, bid activities, lead sourcing projects with partners and vendors. You will report to the Senior Manager for CAPEX and MRO.

Your skills and experience
  • Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
  • Compares bids from vendors and determines, or assists with determination, to whom contracts will be awarded.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Maintain database regarding vendors performance and quality of product(s).
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development of sourcing strategies.
  • Help develop contracting strategies including tender, negotiation and award and the post-award contract management and continuous improvements against the deals.
  • Take an active role in implementing Framework Agreements at the site, including implementation of local call offs and transition between suppliers.
  • Work with Global Sourcing and partners across several backgrounds and levels, both at the plant and the regional level.
  • Obtain active support for main procurement goals at local partner engagement; able to link these goals to needs and benefits, including LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain full understanding of Global Sourcing procedures, procurement systems processes, Requisition to Pay processes, and ERP related processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors in Procurement, Engineering or Supply Chain Management or a related field,
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in strategic sourcing or relevant experience sourcing production and R&D equipment and services
  • Maintain an external and strategic focus for self and the team environment and ensuring teams are set up for collaboration.
  • Project management skills with an ability to plan tasks, assign resources, manage progress, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, and motivate team members across multiple projects concurrently.
