MS&T Fractionation Value Stream Lead

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) Fractionation Value Steam Lead to join the Process Engineering function at CSL Behring on a permanent role at our Broadmeadows site. You will lead the Process Engineering direction within the Fractionation Value Stream, ensuring alignment with global stakeholders. Your role involves leveraging scientific and engineering expertise to guide the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of complex products, processes, and technologies.

You will develop process monitoring tools and systems to prioritise and target the engagement of MS&T Principals and downstream Process Engineering functions (Process Technology, Commissioning and Qualification, Validation and Stability etc.), taking overall accountability for delivering Process Engineering based continuous improvement within the Fractionation Value Stream. You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality and M2U to inform risk, drive deviations ,develop and implement robust CAPA.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the MS&T Site Lead, you will:
  • Foster a safety-first culture, ensuring all MS&T activities are conducted safely and controlled.
  • Develop tools to monitor Fractionation Value Stream performance, ensuring robust process control.
  • Engage with global partners to address complex deviations, process improvements, and CAPA implementation.
  • Lead technical and process-related investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Engage and deliver through Process Engineering of continuous improvement projects.
  • Be a key SME for Global Platform Roadmaps and projects, providing technical evaluation, and collaborating with global Product Stewards to inform and mitigate risk, establish the implementation approach and define timing.
  • Drive local process understanding development and MS&T Principal/ Senior Scientist development.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science (relevant field). Advanced degrees (Master's/PhD) in life sciences are preferred.
  • 7+ years in Process Science/Engineering, Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology Operations, or Chemical Manufacturing preferably in a highly regulated/ GMP environment.
  • Experience engaging cross functionally to investigate issues/ opportunities and drive a positive outcome.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to manage complexity and unleash outcomes.
