To strengthen our Medical team in Vienna, Austria, we are currently hiring a
Medical Science Liaison (m/f/x)
(Fulltime / permanent / Location: Vienna)
The Opportunity
In collaboration with the Medical Affairs Manager, you will engage with key medical experts in Austria and manage medical affairs projects, including medical investigations and trial assessments. You will work closely with other departments and external stakeholders to support local studies and contribute to generating product-related scientific data.
The Role
- Develop, implement, and measure medical affairs projects/trials for products in Austria.
- Monitor medical and scientific environments and respond with business proposals.
- Establish and manage annual medical affairs budgets and financial forecasts.
- Supervise company-sponsored non-interventional and investigator-initiated studies, ensuring compliance and managing publication of results.
- Collaborate with internal partners (sales, marketing, PR, etc.) to support medical affairs activities.
- Maintain contacts with opinion leaders, customers, research institutions, and patient organizations.
- Participate in scientific, promotional, and educational events, providing medical expertise and acting as a main presenter during internal and external trainings.

Your Skills and Experience:
- Degree in pharmacology, pharmacy, immunology, biosciences, public health, or epidemiology. A degree in Medicine is preferred.
- PhD in a relevant scientific field is highly desirable.
- At least 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Experience in medical support for products or devices, including KOL development and clinical trials, is preferred.
- Experience working with international or global teams.
- Strong scientific background.
- Fluency in German and English is required.
- Willingness to travel for business.
- Knowledge of ICH/GCP is favorable; ability to write scientific papers.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
Reporting Relationship:
This position reports to the Head of Medical Affairs Austria.
