Your Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Medical Affairs leader to join us as Medical Head, VFK China. Reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs ICO-PB, this is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and driving our Medical Affairs strategy at the country level, ensuring strong alignment with business priorities while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity.
As a trusted member of the Country Leadership Team, you will bring deep therapeutic area expertise, lead a high-performing Medical team, and foster strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver meaningful impact for patients, healthcare professionals, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.

- Lead and develop the Country Medical team, fostering a culture of high performance, integrity, and continuous learning.
- Partner with the Country Leadership Team to shape country strategies, bringing clinical insights and therapeutic expertise.
- Develop and implement the annual Country Medical Plan aligned with global strategies and local brand plans.
- Build trusted relationships with medical and scientific experts, healthcare organizations, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead country data generation activities, including evidence gap analysis, real-world evidence, and Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS).
- Ensure Medical governance, compliance, and oversight of Medical Affairs activities, materials, and processes.
- Provide medical and scientific training to internal teams and ensure effective Medical engagement across stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with commercial and market access teams to support brand strategies and access initiatives.
- Manage the Country Medical budget effectively and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Represent CSL Vifor externally as a respected Medical leader in scientific forums, congresses, and engagements.
Your Experience:
- Medical Degree (M.D.) or advanced scientific degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D.).
- 10 years' or more experience in the pharmaceutical industry within Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Development, ideally at both affiliate and HQ levels.
- At least 2 years of proven people leadership experience in Medical Affairs.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, and quality management.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Business acumen with budget management experience.
- Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Therapeutic area expertise in Hematology, Nephrology, or Cardiology.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience in Medical Affairs.
- Experience managing Phase 4 research and publication planning.
- Strong publication record and engagement with medical societies and scientific communities.
