The Opportunity:

Senior-level global leadership role that is accountable for the oversight and management of strategic planning of all external leadership and employee communications, issues management, and other functional communications supporting the CSL Seqirus business and its strategic goals.

You will develop strategic communications plans that achieves both CSL Seqirus goals and build, protect, and promote the Seqirus and CSL Group brands around the world. You will develop and lead the global CSL Seqirus communications team, ensuring one integrated global approach and execution plan aligned with our priorities.

  • Strong collaboration across the CSL Seqirus CEA team to align and deliver on shared business objectives.
  • Serving as both strategist and executor
  • Developing clear strategies and measurable execution plans
  • Leading a cross-functional team for planning and execution.
  • Developing and delivering "earned" media and thought leadership placements globally.
  • Developing authentic and impactful content contributions and assets for both internal and external stakeholders/audiences.

  • As a senior member of the CSL CEA Team you will collaborate with other CEA leaders and colleagues around the world to focus, collaborate and leverage as one integrated function.

    The Role:
    • Responsible for leading and directing the communications function for CSL Seqirus globally.
    • Accountable for the integrated development, budgeting, and execution of the CSL Seqirus global communications strategy; including brand, thought leadership, amplification of PAGA initiatives, and reputation management.
    • Provide specialist communications counsel and general support to the General Manager of CSL Seqirus.
    • As a senior member of the CEA team, you will collaborate with other senior communications leaders and colleagues around the world to focus, coordinate and leverage as one integrated global function.
    • Manage corporate messaging, news releases, publicity preparation, media relations, and ensure communications are aligned with our global brand positioning.
    • Monitor audience sentiments and anticipates communication requirements and proactively recommend programs that reflect our viewpoint.
    • Develop and execute internal and external communications, ensuring communications efforts are consistent, coordinated, and ladder up to broader CSL Group brand message.
    • Monitor and respond to any escalated inquiries, crises, or requirements from the public or media to ensure all communications are accurate and appropriate by collaborating with the necessary teams across CEA.
    • Responsible for professional development and strengthening capabilities of the team to enhance CSL Seqirus communications capabilities across the global organization.
    • Define and implement governance for the CSL Seqirus comms team and ensuring that it is aligned with CEA team governance.

    Your skills and experience:
    • 15-plus years of progressive internal and external communications and media experience in industry and government.
    • Applied science/R&D/consumer communications experience of 10+ years is required.
    • Deep understanding of how to maximize earned media and leverage social media.
    • Experience collaborating with colleagues at multiple levels across functions, matrixes and geographies to ideate, co-create and execute shared goals.
    • Demonstrated experience in successfully working in a highly matrixed, global organization.
