The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing - Technology, as the Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing sourcing of IT software and services and work with strategic partners and new suppliers to support strategic sourcing events (RFx), consistent with quality, reliability, service, cost, and delivery. You will proactively manage and work on resolution pond to any commercial and supply /quality related escalations and other local procurement issues to ensure supply continuity. You will implement sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the assigned project and associated activities as a member of multiple Global Category teams and supports multiple categories. You will be provided with an excellent opportunity to develop strong competencies in global sourcing and strategic management of technology spend, while being part of transformation at CSL Behring. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid

The Role:

The scope of work covers working across the subcategories of IT, including HW/Telecom, Networking, Software platforms and Services. The role has global remint and will require working in matrix organizations will colleagues from different functional areas and regions.

Sourcing/Supplier Process

Take lead in managing the RfP/RfI cycle working with different stakeholders across the globe. Manage the sourcing and supplier selection process, including creating a sourcing project, researching, and developing supplier shortlist, and assembling and managing RFI project team through RFX/RFI process for smaller local sourcing events, including:
  • Planning and executing sourcing-related activities in Ariba eSourcing
  • Conducting supplier qualifications, including scoring assessment results, analyzing information to evaluate risks, and completing due diligence reviews, as per globally defined standards and policies.
  • implementing Source Plan based on agreed upon performance metrics
  • Monitoring and reporting current local category market conditions and technology roadmaps; including identify supply and demandchallenges and opportunities.
  • Review assigned spend and proactively identify spend optimization opportunities. Lead manage and report on a portfolio of initiatives to ensure saving targets are being met.
  • Maintain updated track and trace of reporting of sourcing KPIs and dashboards.

Contract Negotiation
  • Drive local contract negotiation and management, in alignment with diverse stakeholders including in IT, sourcing, supplier alliance management, legal and compliance.
  • Develop key performance measures for smaller, local suppliers and negotiate to award longer-term strategic contracts that result in significant cost reduction and improved service levels.
  • Compile agreements according to standard or non-standard services based on local law and global contracting standards and review counter changes with Legal, based on global policies.
  • Secure approval from proper signatories before confirming and publishing
  • Update, verify, and publish contract content in the Contract Management Systems.
  • Provide advice and assistance about company contracts policy, templates, procedures and purchasing terms compliance, including supplying necessary contract guidelines.

Supplier/Stakeholder Relationships
  • Manage local supplier relationships and performance, including dispute resolution.
  • Communicate project specifications and requirements to potential vendors, and coordinate with them about project follow-up, timelines, troubleshooting, communication of terms and agreements, standards, and testing requirements.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing and engineering teams to proactively identify and develop external capability to support strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • Manage long-term relationships with selected key strategic suppliers to form deep, mutually beneficial partner relationships.
  • Facilitate communication among suppliers to ensure relationships are delivering their ongoing and intended optimal value.
  • Facilitate any special requirement or locational site support for office supplies as needed.

Operational Procurement Support
  • Respond to operational procurement issues, such as supply disruption, quality or other issues at sites and other large facilities that may affect the production, quality, compliance or safety of product, operation, equipment, or facility.
  • Escalate and document significant or recurring issues with suppliers, supply chain, within Procurement or other parts of CSL that are (potentially) cause operational or quality issues or otherwise create unnecessary risk.
  • Maintain systems compliance and update in TPRM system and Contract repository.
  • Coordinate Savings tracker process across I&T and Digital Sourcing.
  • You might be asked to support in office supplies category for local sites.

Your Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, supply management, or related field preferred.
  • Five to seven years of supply management experience.
  • Purchasing Management Certification (ISM) or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully negotiating complex national supply agreements.
  • Self-starter with prove ability to work with global teams and work with different stakeholders.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, solve problems, make recommendations, and draw valid conclusions in a timely and correct manner.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Sound judgment and reasoning skills.
  • Collaboration and Innovation mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent computer skills with ability to work in diverse applications.
