Position Purpose: Provide an overview of the responsibilities of the position by providing a summary of the most important aspects and duties of the position.

Executive Director, Enterprise Platforms will be accountable for the execution leadership of our core business enabling platforms. These platforms comprise of core SAP S/4, ServiceNow, Integration Platform and Enterprise Testing Platform/Framework. Across these critical platforms, CSL is enabling a differentiating capabilities that allow the organization to achieve enterprise scale and leverage as a growth organization. This leadership role is critical to achieve our strategic objectives and should be driven to maximize value and speed of value for our enterprise solution portfolio. Taking a platform approach, seek to drive simplicity to accelerate delivery of purpose built solutions. Create standardization across targeted processes, experiences, data and capabilities. Leverage modern cloud and AI patterns to further create an advanced enterprise platform. Establish vision and serve as a change agent and amplifier of value. Work across the integrated I&T leadership and landscape to further drive value of solutions.

  • ERP Platform Transformation Leadership: Lead the modernization and transformation of our core ERP platform, enabling a true digital business platform that will serve as the foundation for the development and deployment of product solutions across the ERP Ecosystem landscape. Serve as technology expert for the SAP S/4 Platform and related solutions, such as BTP.
  • ServiceNow Platform Leadership: Provide leadership over the service experience strategy being realized through the ServiceNow Platform. Drive execution of technical strategy and leverage of ServiceNow roadmap capabilities and best practices with high quality standards. Work closely with solution delivery, service desk and infrastructure teams to identify opportunities for improvements and further automation.
  • Integration Platform Leadership: Leverage your architecture and development expertise to strategize and drive the build out and maturing of CSL's enterprise integration platform. Enable a modern cloud platform solution that operates across legacy and cloud native capabilities.
  • Enterprise Testing Platform and Framework Leadership: Working with other leaders across the I&T organization, implement a strategic transformation of the testing environment to a full platform and product digital operating model. Serving as COE for testing, enable standardize tools, templates, datasets and scripts to ensure our assets are delivered with a high level of quality and reliability.
  • Talent Development: Hire, develop and retain critical talent, modernization our delivery and development methodologies to align to a platform delivery mindset. Provide mentorship and guidance for directs and the broader technology delivery organization.
  • SI and Technology Partner Management: Optimize relationships with targeted SI and Technology vendors within the designated portfolio. Ensure vendors are managed, working with the broader enterprise framework to ensure a high level of performance. Ensure timely execution of contracts and invoices.
  • Financial Accountability - Ensure timely and accurate financial budgets are adhered to across your programs and cost centers. Serve as a model of strong financial stewardship for your team to mirror.
  • Product and Agile Execution Shift - Define the product solution portfolio and bring business and technology stakeholders on the journey of change. Drive industry best practices and set a high bar of standards, establishing a quarterly cadence of change.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Managing both business and I&T stakeholders, ensure successful collaboration and progression of the enterprise agenda. Challenge and shift current ways of working that up levels the entire organization
  • Delivery Management: Plan and manage concurrent delivery initiatives across the targeted portfolio, optimizing delivery capacity and ensure high quality and consistent value creation.
  • Technology Expert - Stay up to date on current trends in industry as well as within the technology landscape which you are accountable for, adoption and leveraging to drive improvements and value for the enterprise

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Provide hiring requirements for the specified position, including educational, experiential, and competency requirements necessary for the position.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience
  • 15+ years of progressive experience within the technology landscape, demonstrating continued growth and span of experience
  • 10+ years executing and building solutions leveraging SAP ERP platform, with strong demonstrative knowledge of the technology architecture and capabilities of the different modules. Demonstrated experience within Lifesciences preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience delivering solution in highly regulated environments at a global scale
  • 10+ years providing leadership for engineering teams, demonstrating expertise in integration patterns and testing frameworks
  • 7+ years focused on delivering enterprise platforms and enabling products. Demonstrated experience with platform development and strong understanding of product lifecycle management in the software context
  • 7+ years delivering solutions leveraging modern cloud PaaS. Strong understanding of cloud application architecture patterns and experience leveraging DevSecOps
  • 7+ years of experience managing individuals at Director+ level
  • 5+ years delivering solutions leveraging/integrating with ServiceNow
  • 5+ years delivering solutions through agile methodology

Competencies
  • Communication, leadership and management and team building skills to be expanded upon
  • Executive level communication and presentation skills, demonstrated ability articulate intents to business executive stakeholders
