The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Director, CSL Behring, Financial Planning & Analysis Lead, as the Director, CSL Behring Planning & Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in enabling financial processes and delivering accurate and timely financial planning, reporting, and analysis. You will ensure alignment of global business operations across multiple functional areas, including Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial, and affiliate countries. You will lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, ensuring alignment across Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial, and affiliate countries globally. You will establish process excellence, standardize reporting frameworks, and drive continuous improvements within the FP&A function to support global and regional objectives.. You will interact heavily with the responsible Finance Business Partners across CSL Behring Finance ensuring best-in-class financial processes, data driven insights, and performance excellence. This leadership position demands a strategic mindset and a commitment to process excellence. You will collaborate closely with the Head of FP&A and senior leaders from cross-functional teams to drive financial planning, reporting and operational efficiency in CSL Behring's global business. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid

The Role:

Financial Planning and Forecasting:
  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes including calendars, coordination, and communications across CSL Behring's global operations, including Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Plasma and Commercial teams, as well as affiliate countries.
  • Develop and implement standardized financial planning tools, templates, and methodologies to ensure consistency and accuracy across regions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership teams to align financial plans with strategic objectives and business goals.
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans to senior management and the executive board.

Financial Reporting:
  • Lead the monthly, half-year, and year-end reporting cycles for CSL Behring, delivering standardized reporting capabilities, including dashboards, across the business unit.
  • Oversee the consolidation and analysis of financial reports across global and regional entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop key financial metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide insights into operational performance.
  • Provide variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and work with functional leaders to understand and address variances.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and external regulatory requirements in reporting.
  • Partner with Segment and Corporate FP&A Teams on business unit level deliverables and commentary.
  • Provide scenario planning, data driven insights, and best-in-class visualization to enable informed decision making among key stakeholders.

Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive process excellence in financial planning and reporting activities, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across the global organization.
  • Establish and refine processes that ensure data integrity, transparency, and consistency in financial reporting.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline financial reporting processes and reduce cycle times for budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate and drive financial systems and process improvements (e.g., automation, digitization) to support evolving business needs.
  • Drive the continual improvement of CSLB Finance processes leveraging internal and external benchmarks to deliver best-in-class results.

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:
  • Partner with FBPs to develop management presentations for CSLB LT members (Plasma LT, Ops LT, ComOps LT) and management teams.
  • Serve as a key financial partner to the FBPs in Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Commercial leaders, as well as affiliate country leadership teams, providing financial insights to drive decision-making.
  • Liaise with global FP&A teams and finance partners across regions to ensure alignment of financial plans and objectives.
  • Lead discussions with leaders and segment finance teams in preparing and presenting financial analysis that drives strategic business decisions.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and business operations, ensuring alignment on performance metrics and goals.

Team Leadership and Development:
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of financial planning and reporting professionals.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the FP&A team.
  • Ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to support the organization's financial goals.

Your Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other Business related discipline.
  • CPA/CA or MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A, financial planning, reporting, or related fields, with a focus on managing global operations, including experience in the biopharmaceutical or manufacturing sector. Demonstrated experience in driving process excellence and implementing financial planning and reporting frameworks at a global level.
  • Leading a team in budget and forecast cycles.
  • Leading the month end close and reporting process.
  • Experience with dashboarding and visualization software (e.g. PowerBI) is preferable.
  • Experience in global manufacturing including, but not limited to pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
  • Managing a medium to large-size team advantageous.
