CSL's Internship Program is a hands-on experience that showcases the daily innovation and operations of a leading biotechnology company. Our environment is collaborative, global, and purpose-driven. The 12-week experience will immerse students in meaningful, thought-provoking projects that contribute to CSL's promise to save lives and protect the health of people around the world. In addition to making an impact, students will develop personally and professionally while cultivating meaningful relationships.

Main Responsibilities

An intern tasked with building a website for different quality control groups would have a variety of responsibilities. Here are some key duties they might be expected to perform:
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with quality control teams to understand their specific needs and requirements for the website.
  • Design and Development:
    • Front-End Development: Create user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Back-End Development: Develop server-side logic, manage databases, and ensure seamless integration with front-end elements.
  • Content Management: Assist in creating, organizing, and managing content for the website, ensuring it is relevant and up-to-date.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Testing: Conduct thorough testing of the website to identify and fix bugs or issues.
    • Compliance: Ensure the website meets all relevant quality standards and regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the development process, including code comments, user guides, and technical manuals.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training sessions and support to quality control teams on how to use and manage the website effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from users and implement improvements to enhance the website's functionality and user experience.
  • Project Management: Assist in planning and managing project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.

These duties will help ensure the intern gains comprehensive experience in web development while supporting the quality control groups effectively. We will involve them in other areas as they have interest, skills, and time.

Qualifications:
  • Seeking rising seniors, currently enrolled as a full-time student, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Web Development.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of a 4.0 scale).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and acceptance of assignments and schedules.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 OS.
