CSL's Internship Program is a hands-on experience that showcases the daily innovation and operations of a leading biotechnology company. Our environment is collaborative, global, and purpose-driven. The 12-week experience will immerse students in meaningful, thought-provoking projects that contribute to CSL's promise to save lives and protect the health of people around the world. In addition to making an impact, students will develop personally and professionally while cultivating meaningful relationships.

Main Responsibilities

The Clinical Programming intern position is for graduate students in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics or a closely related field. The purpose of the position is to enable gaining hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry and to enable CSL's Clnical Data Integration and Standards(CDIS) department to progress important but not time-critical R&D program work which is difficult for full-time staff to complete due to competing project priorities.
  • Supports Data Management activities for a clinical study (database design and set-up, and data transfers).
  • Supports the Clinical Data Standards team for the definition and maintenance of CSLs' standard electronic CRFs and SDTM mapping standards.
  • Supports Clinical Programming for code development using the SAS Software.
  • Supports Metadata Managers with test data creation in iMedidata RAVE.
  • Perform statistical research or assist in developing statistical methodology related to drug development.
  • Assist in data analysis and data exploration.

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics or a closely related field and have completed at least 2 semesters of graduate work towards a Master's degree or PhD prior to the start, or have a comparable level of coursework
  • Good working knowledge of SAS and/or R
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English
