Tax Technology/Technical Lead (US)
Wilmington Office and/or Remote with travel
Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

This position is responsible for the Company's US tax technology/technical, integrating tax systems into our core accounting systems and data warehouse, creating efficiency, controls and managing risk. The successful candidate will work with the business providing business solutions with cross functional projects, outside service providers on technical matters, and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities in coordination with department managers.

We are currently seeking an experienced Tax Technology/Technical Lead (US) to join our tax team managing processes independently working closely with our external advisors, fintech and inhouse Corptax. Someone who is highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment will do well in this position. Our most successful employees are service oriented and work well as a team player.
Some of the things you will be doing:
- Utilize automation for process improvements to integrate EPM and underlying ERPs with Corptax, removal of data manipulation processes, identify data gaps and integrity issues, establishing a source of truth for data management (establishment of warehouse), and applications of best practices
- Contributing to company-wide technology initiatives including Pillar 2, Shareholder distribution and tax models in Alteryx, TRC forecasting and analysis, transfer pricing PCM and other EPM developments.
- Serve as the secondary tax representative on cross-functional teams, ensuring tax requirements are effectively addressed and integrated
- Ensure team's tax technology vision is timely with deliverables: Track and monitor workstream progress, ensure timely reporting of milestones and status of dependencies in collaboration with PMO and Fintech
- Maintain process and training documentation
- Ensure the direction and implementation of a solution is true to its design, and if change is required, it is managed appropriately
- Research the latest tax technology trends and best practices, evaluate technology options and recommend as needed
- Ensure full utilization of existing tax software functionality along with retirement of old systems as needed, assess impact of software upgrades and associated process flows
- Provide opportunities for movement of processes to a central hub in India, including sales & use tax, indirect tax, direct tax provisioning and returns for C Corp and internationally with appropriate controls
- Maintain risk register, dashboard compliance, opinions associated with tax technical aspects
- Interface with multiple teams such as accounting, FP&A, legal, HR etc to identify solutions for tax technical and technology needs
- Prepare and coordinate all aspects for the provision of income taxes along with journals and analysis
- Other projects/duties as assigned
- A self-starter with strong US technical knowledge of corporate income tax and indirect tax principles with multiple filing groups.
- 7-10 years direct experience from industry and public accounting for US tax
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Computer Science with proven tax technology experience, and Master's degree a plus
- Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience driving success across global locations and driving efficient processes that can expand in-sourcing of work from third parties.
- Experience with EPM/Hyperion, Corptax, Oracle/SAP, Vertex or other major ERP platforms
- Experience with automation RPA, Alteryx, Power BI or similar platforms
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across the enterprise as well as excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills while being detail oriented and having the ability to multi-task
