Senior AI/ML Software Engineer

You will work on a fast-paced team of researchers and engineers, driving high-business-value software from prototypes to production, and collaborating with our distributed teams.

Some of the things you will be doing:
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI algorithms to solve complex business problems in the tax domain.
- Collaborate proactively with a distributed team, including engineers, researchers, quality assurance, project managers, and product managers.
- Participate in daily standups to stay aligned with team goals and progress.
- Write quality, efficient code for new AI/ML-based features and resolve issues.
- Conduct code reviews and suggest improvements. Share responsibility for unit and integration testing automation.
- Stay current with cutting-edge technologies, experiment with and implement new advancements, especially with a focus on AI/ML.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers and software developers.
- 6+ years of software design and development experience, with a strong focus on building solutions that integrate AI/ML.
- Proven experience in leveraging and implementing machine learning models to build solutions (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning).
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with AI/ML libraries, such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, FastAPI, and Gradio
- Experience with cloud-based AI/ML services (Azure Machine Learning, AWS SageMaker, or Google Cloud AI Platform). Azure is a plus.
- Familiarity with graph databases and knowledge graphs (Neo4j, CosmosDB, etc.)
- Experience with microservice-based architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps, or AKS).
- Knowledge of C#, .NET, ASP.NET, TypeScript, and React is advantageous.
- Understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Experience with MLOps practices, including model versioning, deployment, and monitoring.
- Expertise in object-oriented design, patterns, and programming.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Clear, concise communication skills and a passion for AI/ML product development.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic, diverse team environment.
- Track record of delivering high-quality AI/ML solutions in fast-paced environments.
