We are actively seeking a Staff Executive Business Partner to join the support team for Cruise’s President and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). This role will provide direct 1:1 support and report directly to our President and CAO. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced organization, and will be able to leverage their past experience to be a force multiplier for the President and CAO. You could be a phenomenal fit if you are someone who has excelled supporting C-level execs or Legal Firm previously, and is motivated by encouraging connectivity across the department and elevating efficiency to the next level. This is a hybrid role for candidates who are based in Houston, TX.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the President and CAO, understanding their vision, priorities, and goals and how it ties into using their time in the most effective and efficient way

  • Collaborate on the development and execution of key business initiatives

  • Lead the President and CAO’s workflow and implement processes and systems to help optimize for efficiency

  • Coordinate and prepare materials for executive meetings, ensuring the President and CAO is well-prepared and informed

  • Provide strategic, sophisticated calendar management based on a strong understanding of key priorities and objectives, and proactively identify and resolve emerging conflicts

  • Schedule high-volume of meetings and events, along with handling sophisticated and constantly evolving travel itineraries with a customer-service mentality

  • Assist with agenda development for leadership meetings and with follow-up tracking

  • Attend meetings and take detailed notes and action items on highly sophisticated and often technical topics

  • Plan and coordinate quarterly retreats and team-building offsites

  • Be a culture ambassador and leader within the org to improve connection and morale among the President and CAO’s team

  • Act as a team point person; handle team requests, problem-solve, and assist with keeping the team on-track and organized

  • Own high-touch interactions with board members, leadership, and candidates

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years’ senior leader support experience, ideally with some C-level support experience, in a complex and highly ground-breaking environment

  • Ability to work in-person alongside the President and CAO in Houston, TX office based on schedule (on average 3x/week; sometimes more or less depending on the week)

  • Able to lead through ambiguity with a proactive and ownership attitude - you can take any task and complete it at a high level with minimal direction

  • Able to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion

  • Creative problem solving abilities, constantly thinking creatively

  • Experience building strong working relationships with vital team members

  • Acute attention to detail

  • Excellent time and project management skills

  • Clear systems and composure to deal with multiple tasks at once

  • Experience in complex calendar management in a matrixed organization

  • Experience navigating and seamlessly completing travel requests

  • Proven understanding of Google Suite and Slack

  • Ability to take and action feedback

  • You are people focused while living the Cruise Behaviors

  • Availability to perform job duties outside of normal business hours when necessary

The salary range for this position is $119,000 - $163,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
