About the Role:
CrowdStrike Information Technology is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer to join our Network Engineering team, which plays a critical role in the function of all CrowdStrike teams. The person in this position will participate in a team approach to expanding and supporting an enterprise network using proven design, optimization, and implementation skills. The successful candidate will also present solutions to the team in a collaborative environment and mentor junior Network Engineering personnel.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, implement, and validate solutions to complex cloud, data center, and remote office network engineering problems in a manner consistent with established network and security architecture standards
  • Monitor network infrastructure and traffic; identify and document problem areas and recommend network infrastructure and performance improvements based on current and projected enterprise network footprint
  • Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders on network architecture, expansion, and optimization; document problem statement, project requirements, design details, and project status, issues, risks, and constraints to all stakeholders in a timely, clear, and concise manner
  • Create and maintain graphical and written documentation of network architecture, infrastructure, and technical standards with the goal of eliminating all forms of tribal knowledge
  • Create, maintain, and follow standard team technical processes
  • Provide tier-3 support for critical network incidents involving multiple global teams
  • Resolve customer service and break/fix tickets in a timely and efficient manner
  • Prepare clear written plans and execute scheduled network maintenance to meet stated objectives within designated maintenance windows
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels
  • Provide subject matter expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-team major initiatives
  • Mentor junior Network Engineering personnel
What You'll Need:
  • 10+ years' experience designing, implementing, and supporting scalable enterprise data center and remote office networks using enterprise-class routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • 10+ years' experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and multicast routing protocols, Voice Over IP, and QoS configuration on routers and switches in enterprise environments using IPv4 and IPv6
  • 5+ years' AWS network design, implementation support in multi-region/AZ/VPC cloud and hybrid cloud environments using AWS VPN and Direct Connect, transit gateway, VPC peering, Network ACLs and security groups, ELB, Route 53, and other AWS networking elements
  • 5+ years' experience configuring, managing, and monitoring Palo Alto Networks firewalls using Panorama
  • Experience managing and deploying premise and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) platforms such as F5 Networks LTM/GTM
  • Demonstrated experience with network configuration management and monitoring tools
  • Demonstrated experience with access control technologies such as Cisco ISE and Aruba ClearPass
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one scripting language such as Python or shell scripting
  • Demonstrated experience with network automation using scripting, Ansible, and REST APIs
  • Experience with documentation and presentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, and Atlassian Wiki
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of multiple teams in multiple global regions
  • Must speak fluent English and communicate clearly in written English
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and own a working vehicle with current registration and insurance
  • Must be capable of lifting 50lbs
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally to support network deployments in remote locations
  • Must be willing to participate in the team's on-call rotation
Bonus Points:
  • 5+ years' experience with enterprise wireless networking solutions such as Aruba, Cisco, or Meraki
  • Advanced understanding of IP addressing and subnetting, TCP/IP, and DNS
  • Proficiency with protocol and log analysis tools including Wireshark and Splunk
  • Advanced understanding of rack layouts, power and HVAC requirements, fiber optic and copper cabling
  • Willingness to represent IT with professionalism, demonstrating CrowdStrike core values and behaviors
  • Strong interest in continuing networking education and certification
