About the Team:
You'll be joining the Data Protection Team in our Data Security Product Group, whose mission is to build a unified data security system which enables customers to identify and investigate insider threats, identify access to and movement of sensitive data, and ensure regulatory compliance by mitigating data loss risk. Specifically, you'll be joining a new group that is building a new innovative product that is cross-department. This is a unique opportunity to impact a new product line within CrowdStrike.
About the Role:
As an Infrastructure Full Stack Engineer in the CrowdStrike's Browser Protection team, you will play a key role in building a browser protection platform focused on holistic security protection, including: data protection, data loss prevention, Identity protection and SaaS security. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing CrowdStrike's next-gen browser protection solutions, that integrate seamlessly with CrowdStrike's security platform and leverages CrowdStrike agent. The product provides real-time protection against data leaks, unmanaged devices risk, insider threat, unauthorized data access, and other security risks. Working in close collaboration with our cross-functional team, you'll leverage your expertise to build a high-performance, secure browser solution and extension that ensures user data is safe without impacting browsing experience. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of data protection technology at CrowdStrike by delivering an extension that empowers users and protects them in today's
dynamic digital landscape.
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement CRWD browser protection suite, including browser extensions (e.g., Google Chrome, Safari etc. ), leveraging CrowdStrike endpoint sensor and Leverage in-depth chromium knowledge to develop cybersecurity capabilities within the browser
- Own features from design to delivery
- Impact product roadmap and architectural design
- Collaborate with multi-functional team in various physical locations
- Meet high standards of highly resistance, scalable products
- Leverage knowledge that spans across operating systems, synchronizations, hooking and fullstack development.
- Mastery of fullstack development with expertise in either of React infrastructure / JavaScript / Chromium / Node.Js
- Curiosity into understanding how things work behind the scenes
- Ability to dive deep into web development internals, APIs, etc
- Researching capabilities
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and handling data securely within extensions
Proactive approach for problem solving. - Experience with testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies such as Jtest, QUnit, Mocha & Selenium.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with browser extension/plugin development, email client plugin development, or file sync and share web service (e.g., OneDrive, Google Drive, Box) plugin/application development.
- Past experience in the cybersecurity space
- Past experience in low level development / OS internals
- Proven track record of contributing to open-source projects particularly in a chrome extension area.
