About the Role:
CrowdStrike's Threat Analysis team is expanding. We are looking for an accomplished engineer to develop Linux applications as a part of our SaaS Detonations and Threat Analysis platform. Features will cross most core OS subsystems such as file system, memory, process, and networking. Help us create and enhance our threat analysis capabilities for Linux operating systems. Flex your technical muscles helping to set the technical direction for the detonation and detection of Linux threats as part of our threat analysis platform. You will work closely with our team of developers, site reliability engineers, and security researchers and build applications to search out and detect bad actors for the Linux environment to protect our customers from compromise.
What You'll Do:
- Follow our SDLC to bring ideas to delivery protecting our customers on Linux operating systems.
- Recommend and develop applications to enhance the efficacy of our Linux dynamic analysis environments for threat hunting.
- Work with product management teams to identify and design new features for the threat analysis platform to effectively analyze and report on the latest malware families.
- Work jointly with security researchers across teams to understand the threat landscape.
- Work with our team to meet and exceed SLAs.
- Help us drive innovation, thinking outside of the box, coming up with new ways to detect threats.
- In depth knowledge of C/C++, ability to demonstrate that capability, be it through job experience or contributions to community projects.
- Strong low-level OS internals and concepts on both user space and kernel space
- Experience on Linux developing product code.
- Experience debugging memory corruptions, contentions and system performance.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Experience working on a team to ship major features and releases.
- Experience building cyber security related products is a plus
