About the Role:
Crowdstrike is looking for a systems integration technician to perform various physical duties. In effort to reduce the threat of hardware being compromised the Systems Integration Facility is responsible for incoming quality control, sanitization, testing, pre-configuration and troubleshooting of all hardware. During these stages we will physically evaluate hardware, provide data entry, flash all binaries on any servers and components possible, stress test/troubleshoot as needed and configure an assets production configuration before it ships to our data centers where it will then be put into our production environment.

What You'll Do:
  • Utilize appropriate tools to install, configure and test equipment and components
  • Examine and test equipment at various stages in order to identify errors
  • Perform hardware inspections according to the company's security inspection procedures
  • Install hardware into test stands and integrate into production server cabinets
  • Pick up and deliver equipment for testing and integration as needed
  • Escalate issues to SIF manager or onsite lead as needed
  • Create and document processes and procedures
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Perform shipping, receiving and inventory management duties
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned not limited to but including, hardware break fix, installation and decommissioning
  • Work with peer organizations and regional teams that deliver services to data center operations such as network engineering, project management, facilities/maintenance management, logistics and supply chain in order to successfully deliver and maintain data center capacity to support ongoing business growth
What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of hardware experience with direct experience managing servers
  • 1+ years experience with Linux command line interface
  • Familiar with server, storage, internet technologies
  • Experience with copper and optical cabling
  • Experience with power cabling
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lb
  • Ability to communicate technical details into succinct and fact-based business terminology both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to use independent judgment to make sound, justifiable decisions and take action to solve problems
