Position Overview
This is a management position requiring employee to supervise and coordinate activities of the Grading Crew.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Coordinating, planning, and supervising grading crews to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Operating equipment to perform rough grade, slope work and other excavating operations.
- Inspect equipment prior to use and at the end of shift.
- Inform Superintendent of all construction needs (material, equipment, and staffing) in a timely manner to avoid delays.
- Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
- Inspect all grading work throughout construction process to ensure it meets specifications.
- The ability to operate other types of equipment is preferred.
- Regular and timely attendance
- Motor grader experience preferred
- Frontline safety responsibilities and management for the crew and jobsite
- Traffic Control responsibilities
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
- 3- 5 years' experience in finish or fine grade operation with an excavator or related experience and training.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Ability to understand grade stakes.
- Must be a reliable and trustworthy individual that will be a team player.
- Must maintain good attendance and safety record.
- Capability to read and understand project plans and specifications.
- Must be productive during each shift and be willing to meet the goals that are set.
- Valid Driver's license required
- Travel may be required
