Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Store Room Attendant. The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. The address of the facility is 9609 W Market St in Colfax, NC 27235.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains professional and courteous customer relationships with client, vendor, and internal team
  • Ensures spare parts inventory is received, maintained and distributed according to specified procedures
  • Keeps inventory and all related records organized and orderly for ease of retrieval
  • Prepares and audits spare parts requisitions for purchase
  • Keep daily reporting current with status of spare parts
  • Controls access to the spare parts crib
  • Issues spare parts to technicians upon request
  • Assigns work order numbers to spare parts requisitions


Job Requirements

  • High school diploma / equivalent or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience
  • Must have a valid Virginia Driver license or North Carolina Driver license (if North Carolina resident)
  • Proficient in computer applications (Excel, Outlook, Database management)
  • Previous storeroom experience
  • Knowledge of maintenance-related parts preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, at the waist and knees and climb for most of the shift
