Job Summary

The Staff Accountant will have the primary responsibility of performing various accounting activities within the finance team to support the Infrastructure Products Group. As proficiency is gained, this position will provide input on controls, new processes, and advice on process efficiencies that can be attained. The role is part of the IPG Corporate Finance team and reports to the Accounting Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage account reconciliation process for multiple accounts including banks, disbursements, and payroll accounts
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers and sub-ledgers and ensure timely clearing of all reconciling items
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliations as needed
  • Participate in month-end, quarterly and annual financial closing cycles
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial tasks
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries
  • Streamline processes for efficiency and identify cost savings opportunities throughout the Business Unit
  • Assist with external and internal control audits
  • Assist in special projects as needed


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Manufacturing industry and cost accounting experience
  • SAP, AX or similar ERP system knowledge/experience
  • Advanced MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong attention to detail, producing high-quality products and meeting deadlines
