Job Summary

The Set Up Technician ensures machines are running to correct specifications and finished product is at the utmost quality after mold installation.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow the direction of the plant supervisors
• Learn and familiarize yourself with where miscellaneous tools are kept for example; shop vac, tape gun, cutters, knives, small hand sealers, etc.; always ensuring to return the items to its proper place
• Prepare molds for set-up according to production scheduled or tests required
• Set-up and install appointed mold into injection machine ensuring all connections and waterlines are correctly and safely connected
• Start up the machine after installation and do initial running phase checks to ensure mold is connected correctly, machine is running to correct specifications required and the finished product is at utmost quality
• Read carefully and understand any and all Q.C. documents for product currently running on the machine you are starting, troubleshooting and/or responsible for
• Always ensure accurate and timely recording of all data required on the production line for example; starting or closing off of work orders and recording resin mixed, filling out test sheet information, doing grinder check off, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Good reading and writing skills
• Strong math skills
• Forklift experience, a plus
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
