Job Summary
This position supports the Oldcastle Fence, Rail, Decking (FRD) accounting team with the primary responsibility of managing all aspects of our customer programs, oversight of sales & marketing expenses and leading a variety of tasks during the month end close. There is an expectation to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial statements, operational analysis, and account reconciliations. The senior financial analyst will also support corporate accounting functions such as fixed asset reporting and audit support and will be integral to understanding the accounting landscape of the FRD division within Oldcastle APG reporting structure. This role will also assist in various other ad hoc projects not limited to performing financial analysis and exploring margin opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead tracking and reporting of customer rebate & COOP programs including management of accruals, payments and account reconciliations
- Lead reporting of fixed overhead expense management and partnering with cost center owners to budget and project expenses
- Lead month-end journal entry preparation, account reconciliation and reporting for various corporate accounting & controlling functions
- Support internal and external audit requests and regular management of control monitoring across FRD accounting team
- Support operational reporting and analysis requests
- Support CAPEX reporting and fixed asset accounting
- Assist in support of financial system integrations and development such as expense reporting tools (Concur/Works), payroll, banking, and financial consolidation
Job Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, data science or related field
- 5+ years industry experience preferred
- Expert business analytical skillset
- Proficient in financial systems, Excel, data analytical tools
- SAP, and Microsoft Power BI, experience highly preferred
