Position Overview
As part of the global diversified building materials group, CRH, Americas Materials (AMAT) is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Financial Analyst within the Corporate Finance team based in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing and maintaining key financial reporting and metrics for company leadership.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Maintenance and administration of the capital expenditure tracking processes and programs
- Analytical review of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages (US GAAP and IFRS)
- Perform month end closing activities including the review of operating company and divisional submissions
- Conduct routine communication with business unit leaders and key partners relating to financial close, issues and deliverables, and other relevant financial matters
- Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests
- Preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for senior management
- Partner with Corporate FP&A on reviewing and analyzing monthly forecasts and annual budget
- Research and resolve complex business inquiries for responsible business units
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities to increase productivity that optimizes data efficiency and quality
- Maintain professional demeanor at all times while representing the company
- Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
- Ad hoc projects as needed
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field
- 3+ years' experience in general finance and accounting areas or in industry
- Previous relevant experience in an operations/manufacturing environment preferred
- Pursuit of CPA or CPA preferred
Work Requirements
- Must have high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and other recruiting resources.
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Strong financial background essential
- Knowledge of financial reporting and consolidation systems such as Hyperion Financial Manager, Hyperion Planning, or Oracle EPM Cloud preferred
- Demonstrate strong technical and functional abilities in all areas of financial analysis
- Team player with excellent inter-personal and oral/written communication skills
- Advanced analytical skills with a high attention to detail
- Action oriented and effectively drives for results
- Reliable to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively
- Ability to deliver on time and under tight deadlines
- Must be practical, motivated and have a high degree of initiative
- Customer service orientated attitude
- Ability to ask good questions to get at root cause of problems
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- High career aspirations and geographically mobile
