The Regional Category Manager - Alternative Fuels, will coordinate commerical activies for alternative fuels across CRH operating companies in International. This will include comprehensive market study development, make vs buy analysis, development of AF sourcing strategies, participation in vertical integration activities. They will be responsible for the coordination of AF TFS (Transfrontier Shipment) activities across region, along with developing contacts with internal and external experts to ensure the best practices, technical solutions and market opportunities are considered in the AF sourcing strategies.
The successful candidate will act as a commercial subject matter expert in the area of AF and waste management services

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic overview of alternative fuel, waste and biomass market in International
- Support operating companies in developing local alternative fuels roadmaps and sourcing strategies
- Monitor the relevant environmental legislation and its implication on the AFR strategy
- Organize regular communication among the key stakeholders in International (commercial team, technical team, management teams) to enable exchanging: Best practices, commercial information, new products/services, KPI benchmarks etc.
- Identify AF import opportunities within International and manage import projects TFS, contracting, logistics, quality control, etc.
- Monitor the AF market in International and identify new sources of material, technologies
- Participate in vertical integration projects (JV, partnerships, own AF production):
- Business case preparation or assessment based on CRH experience from other locations
- Providing expertise from the other CRH countries and engaging AF internal and external experts in the implementation process
- Develop contacts with the European Waste and AF Industry
Key Education and Experience
- Educated to degree level - Business or Technical, Master will be an advantage
- 8y Procurement experience in international setting, 3y People Management experience
- Experience in AF contract negotiations
- Good understand and knowldge of waste markets in Europe
- Experience in developing or acquiring AF processing business will be an asset
