Position Overview

Reporting to the VP, Logistics Performance, the Logistics Performance Systems Manager will provide overall product management for enterprise-wide Logistics systems. Working with minimal supervision, this position will lead and manage the initial implementation and related support of logistics tools and technologies. This role requires a high degree of initiative, coordination, and excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders and cross functional partners throughout the entire organization. After system implementation, this position will be responsible for the ongoing product management and relationship ownership of these systems. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in supporting various performance initiatives, data analytics, related training, and documentation development.

To be successful, the preferred candidate should be able to effectively work in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment. Proven project, change, and process management experience will be critical for success. Travel will be required, expect periods of up to 75% travel during system implementation.

Key Responsibilities ( Essential Duties and Functions)

This is a key position that will have the opportunity to work in a highly visible role to guide the development and implementation of AMAT's Logistics tools and technologies.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Collaborate with various business leaders to roadmap and manage the implementation of enterprise logistics performance solutions across AMAT companies, ensuring successful adoption.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate change management plans
  • Develop and/or support the creation and delivery of governance training content and the related reference documentation
  • Coordinate and own the system maintenance planning and implementation process
  • Facilitate product enhancements and the development of automation to support user adoption, engagement, integrations, and system optimization
  • Keep up to date with the latest standard methodologies and integrations
  • Manages multiple vendor relationships across the performance systems in the areas of technology, support, implementation, and business use
  • Streamline and reduce category vendors to achieve best in class systems, support, and utilization
  • Advise and manage stakeholders by reporting on special projects, business challenges and opportunities.
  • Manage the delivery of research, workshops, and other activities to support project deliverables
  • Identify trends and best practices across the company based on data and insights. Provide recommendations to evolve and advance business performance through system optimization.
  • Help maintain a database of logistics systems across the federation of operating companies


Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or comparable work experience)
  • Experience as a Program Manager with strong change management skills
  • Technologically savvy, with a full understanding and fluency in relevant computer applications
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in Construction Management, Supply Chain, Systems Implementation, Product Management, Project Management, or related field


Additional Requirements

  • Travel 30 to 75%
  • Ability to work on various manufacturing plant environments and construction sites.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear
  • May require standing for extended periods of time
  • Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to hold weights of 5-10lbs in a stretched arm position for extended periods of time
  • Able to climb ladders or stairs and to work at heights
  • Able to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time


Work Environment

  • Normal office working conditions in addition to industrial plant sites and quarries, requiring the usage of personal protective equipment, e.g., hard hat, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to drive up to 8 hours for onsite services and meetings.
  • The position may require work outside of normal business hours in response to critical incidents or business-impacting project deliverables.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock or burn.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be loud but is typically moderate.
