Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow directions.
- Actively participate in weekly safety meetings (Tool Box Talks)
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
- Report to the assigned job site in proper work attire ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to all Safety Practices & Procedures.
- Strict adherence to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the book of company policies.
- Building laboratory prototype models for testing.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses using various analytical instruments and techniques, including but not limited to spectrophotometry, colorimetry, and titration.
- Prepare and standardize chemical solutions, reagents, and samples according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental data, observations, and results.
- Assist in the calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain clean lab working area after completion of job tasks and dispose of debris properly.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous experience operating or working around heavy equipment.
Job Requirements and Skills:
- Basic math skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and fill out routine paperwork.
- Previous laboratory experience or coursework in analytical chemistry and/or hydraulics laboratory. Experience with inductively coupled plasma (ICP) analysis is an asset.
- Ability to work with general tools and build prototypes with minimal supervision
- General knowledge of lifting and loading techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time with regular stretch breaks
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

This position requires walking, standing, bending, twisting, sitting and lifting
