Position Overview
The Transformation Project Manager leads strategic initiatives that fundamentally change how CRH's IT functions and delivers value. Main area of responsibility is to develop and execute strategic project plans to modernise IT infrastructure and processes.
Role and responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans including schedules, dependencies, milestones and resource allocation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including operations, infrastructure, applications and operating companies (OpCo).
- Manage multiple interconnected projects within the transformation programme.
- Identify and assess potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Track and report on project budget, variances and forecasts.
- Manage complex infrastructure projects across multiple domains, Network, Cloud and Application transformations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Support end users through change management and training
- Lead project meetings, providing regular progress reports to the PMO and senior management.
- Coordinate third parties/vendors for execution of projects

- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in a field such as cloud, network, security, and infrastructure projects

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to effectively gather requirements, prioritise tasks and scheduling
Competencies
- Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure architecture
- Experience of network technologies and protocols (LAN/WAN, SDWAN)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Understanding of virtualization technologies and application infrastructure requirements.
- Change management in technical environments.
- Effective engagement with a range of stakeholders including senior leaders
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid)
Education/experience
- Degree/Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Multiple years experience in project management, ideally in manufacturing industry
- Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector
- Certification in project and service management (e.g., ITIL, AgilePM, CSM, PMP, PRINCE2) highly desirable.
- Fluency in both speaking and writing English
