Job Summary

The HR Manager contributes to the company's success by managing its employees, development, and work culture. This position works closely with the HR Director and management to implement beneficial HR programs across departments. As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting all aspects of Human Resources, including recruiting, employee training and development, employee relations, and talent management by partnering with local leaders, divisional teams, and the Company President to drive both tactical and strategic initiatives across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, develops, and supports Regional HR Team.
  • Partners with management to develop and implement HR strategies in support of business goals and objectives.
  • Provides guidance and expertise to management and employees regarding employment-related law and regulations, including the application of HR policies, processes, and activities.
  • Participates in the annual succession planning process and various strategic initiatives.
  • Dedicates ample time in the operations and location, providing coaching, teach and mentoring.
  • Manages the employee experience and onboarding processes.
  • Maintains records, processes employee changes including separations and provides reports for different programs (ex. FMLA, ADA, EEO)
  • Maintains compliance with all legal and government reporting regulations affecting the human resource's function.
  • Clearly cascades and communicates organizational objectives and ensures performance planning and evaluations are completed in line with schedule.
  • Assists with the compensation process to ensure alignment of the appropriate salary treatment of employees.
  • Assists with required training, including preparation, review, and distribution.
  • When applicable, conducts and documents HR related investigations, including, but not limited to, EEO complaints, harassment complaints and general employee issues.
  • Maintains professional demeanor in dealing with critical/confidential information; restricts discussion/knowledge of activity to a "need to know" basis.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or related discipline; Three to five years' experience in human resources; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience as HR generalist strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a construction environment preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus.
  • Valid state driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required.
  • Must be 18 years in age or older.


Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures as well as employment and labor laws.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency of MS Office applications required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work and produce results while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.


Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 25 lbs. Physical agilities test may be required.
