Position Overview:

Barriere Construction, a CRH Company, is searching for a dynamic leader to fill the Human Resources Manager position. As an integral part of the leadership team, the Human Resources Manager will lead and oversee the strategic implementation of HR initiatives across all departments, aiming to build and ensure a world-class employee experience.

Reporting Structure:

The Human Resources Manager has a dual reporting relationship to both the President of Barriere Construction and the Regional Vice President of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Provide competent and compassionate leadership in the area of employee relations by assisting and guiding Managers experiencing HR related issues.
  • Employee Experience: Implement a robust Great Place to Work campaign to enhance the employee experience and strengthen the culture.
  • Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws as well as Barriere CRH Policies.
  • Investigations: Participate in all investigations related to employee performance and policy violations.
  • Talent Review/Succession Planning: Lead the Talent Review/Succession planning process to position Barriere for long-term success.
  • Employee Development: In conjunction with the Regional Training and Development Team, identify and support candidates for development.
  • Recruiting and Onboarding: Manage the recruiting cycle, employee onboarding, and mentorship programs.
  • Compensation Management: Manage the compensation structure to include the annual merit and bonus process.

Employee Relations
  • In this role, the Human Resources Manager will lead efforts to improve employee relations by offering guidance and support to Managers on HR-related issues. This includes addressing employee concerns, mediating disputes, and ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and with respect.

Performance Management
  • The Human Resources Manager will oversee the performance management process, ensuring that employees receive regular feedback and development opportunities. This includes managing performance appraisals, setting performance goals, and identifying areas for improvement.

Employee Development
  • A key part of the role is to identify and support candidates for development in collaboration with the Regional Training and Development Team. The Human Resources Manager will create and implement development programs to help employees reach their full potential and advance within the company.

Succession Planning
  • The Human Resources Manager will lead the Talent Review and Succession Planning processes to ensure that Barriere is well-positioned for long-term success. This involves identifying key roles within the company, evaluating potential successors, and creating development plans for these individuals.

Reward and Recognitions
  • The Human Resources Manager will manage the company's reward and recognition programs, ensuring that employees are recognized for their contributions and achievements. This includes overseeing the annual merit and bonus process and implementing new recognition initiatives.

Employee Recruiting/Onboarding
  • The Human Resources Manager will manage the entire recruiting cycle, from identifying staffing needs to selecting and onboarding new employees. This includes developing job descriptions, conducting interviews, and ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.

Compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as Barriere CRH Policies, is a critical responsibility of the Human Resources Manager. This includes staying informed about changes in labor laws and regulations and implementing necessary changes to company policies and procedures.

Great Place to Work Campaign
  • The Human Resources Manager will be tasked with implementing a robust Great Place to Work campaign to enhance the employee experience and strengthen the company culture. This involves developing initiatives that promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Investigations
  • The Human Resources Manager will participate in all investigations related to employee performance and policy violations. This includes conducting thorough investigations, documenting findings, and making recommendations for corrective actions.

Compensation Management
  • Managing the compensation structure, including the annual merit and bonus process, is another key responsibility of the Human Resources Manager. This involves ensuring that compensation practices are fair, competitive, and aligned with company goals.
