Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for construction projects by implementing the Company's OH&S management system.
  • Operate Global Positioning Equipment. Mobile scanning and handheld devices.
  • Establish, monitor and initiate updates to, GPS department initiatives.
  • Create, adjust and troubleshoot GPS files utilizing "Magnet/Colage Software"
  • Create, update and maintain accurate schedules.
  • Coordinate with various projects to meet schedule milestones.
  • Calculate all material yields.
  • Arrange and conduct construction field services as required.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and apply it to our industry.
  • Employees may also be assigned other work as required.


Educational & Experience Criteria:
  • Post-secondary education Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technologist or Civil Engineering Technician. and/or a combination with 5 years of hands-on road construction experience.
  • TopCon Global Positioning Equipment or equivalent experience an asset.
  • Related experience with Global Positioning Software (GPS) and an aptitude for computer technology.
  • Must possess a valid, 'G'/Class 5 driver's license.

Working Conditions:
  • Standard 50 hours per week.
  • Possibility of night work or weekend work based on operational requirements.
  • Travel to/from/within jobsite(s).
