CRH is a global business with an extensive geographic footprint, and international assignments have become an integral part of this. International relocation can be an exciting time, offering international assignees many new opportunities to expand their professional experiences and broaden their perspective, but it can be somewhat challenging, particularly in the early stages of an assignment when there can be some cultural and social changes.

In the context of the above, the Global Mobility Manager is responsible for providing expert knowledge and guidance to the organization relating to our globally mobile workforce, helping individuals and the business to navigate the complexity of the movement of our people. This includes formal long-term assignments and short term assignments. It also includes frequent business travelers and other people who have roles that structurally and permanently require them to work across borders. The Global Mobility Manager is responsible for ensuring our policies and practices are aligned with market best practice and are consistently applied.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Deliver the Global Mobility annual plan;
• Manage a team responsible for the day-to-day operations of CRH's Mobility program, including answering queries from employees and other stakeholders and providing support on all mobility matters, including tax, social security, immigration, relocation, repatriation and localisation;
• Confidently deal with all aspects of cross-border situations, implement plans/take action to ensure the company is compliant and ensure individuals are aware of any personal taxation implications
• Prepare compensation summaries and liaise with HR/the business/assignees on finalising and agreeing assignment packages;
• Design and deliver templates and processes to ensure compliance from an individual tax, social security, immigration and corporate risk perspective for CRH's mobile population;
• Design and deliver end-to-end process maps ensuring all stakeholders are aware of their respective responsibilities;
• Identify and deliver initiatives to realise efficiencies and to enhance the assignee experience and process KPIs (quality, error rates, turn-around time, assignee satisfaction, etc.);
• Ensure Mobility policies, procedures and governance structures are in line with industry standards, are competitive, cost efficient and fit for purpose;
• Develop and roll-out materials and communications to educate and promote understanding of global mobility at CRH;
• Support ad hoc HR, Talent, Reward and I&D projects from a mobility perspective;
• Manage the annual assignee salary and bonus review process and communication to stakeholders;
• Execute the expat payroll in a timely manner, ensuring full compliance;
• Support the Finance function with the forecasting and budgeting for assignment arrangements;
• Manage the commercial arrangements, including the review and approval of Third Party vendor invoices, regular expenditure tracking and support for Finance with the forecasting and funding accrual process;
• Build and maintain sustainable relationships, manage contracts and define and monitor KPIs with all third party vendors.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Business/Legal/Finance
• 5 - 7 years' experience in a global mobility role
• Previous experience in a multinational environment in a global mobility function
• Excellent understanding of mobility practices and policy, social security, immigration and tax requirements.
• Deep understanding of personal tax in cross border situations
• Detailed knowledge of expatriate payroll principles
• Experience of managing and developing a team
