Location: London, Ontario & Surrounding area
Term: Full Time - Permanent

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for safety, Quality and Productivity of the jobsites daily as needed on all types of highways, municipal, commercial and industrial projects
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of asphalt crew
  • Manage and schedule the equipment, material and crew needed for each project
  • Ensure that the asphalt paving work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
  • Train new crew members as needed and provide ongoing training to existing crew members
  • Responsible monitor and maintain the upkeep of tools, equipment and work area and meets safety standard.
  • Attend daily and weekly safety tailgates and inspections.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and labor hours worked
  • Comply and enforce company's environmental, health and safety policies as well as ensuring all crew members comply with safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE and adhere to company's Code of Business Conduct


Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of asphalt and related construction work experience
  • High school or college diploma in a
  • Ability to lead and manage a paving crew of 5 to 10
  • Understanding of safety regulations and ability to enforce them on job sites
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
  • Flexible to work for extended time periods, shift work, overtime and on weekends
  • Have knowledge of asphalt equipment and maintenance procedures
  • Valid G class driver's license
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to make timely, yet effective decisions
  • Ability to work under pressure and adaptable to change
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting experience
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Able to work independently in a busy environment
  • Must be physically fit and able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basic.
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required
