Position Overview

This position is responsible for the daily production of either a batch plant or drum plant to produce quality asphalt for internal customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies, rules and regulations of OSHA/MSHA and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
  • Determines need for fuel, coolants, lubricants, ignition aids, and adds as needed; inspects, lubricates, and services truck and reports condition of vehicle to Supervisor
  • Preparedness to learn dozer, excavator, plant loader, pit loader and pit hauler and any other mobile equipment associated to the quarry operation
  • Sustains high degree of care and attention required to prevent injury to others in highly congested areas
  • Maintains correct stockpiling techniques to ensure material does not segregate
  • Responsible to stockpile proper product on correct stockpiles
  • Assist the plant operator when needed.
  • Remove dust from the dust silo.
  • Clean materials under conveyors and plant areas.
  • Performs general laboring duties when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.


Education/Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in or around an asphalt plant helpful but not required.
