SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in repair, maintenance and installation of machines, equipment and buildings by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages maintenance of mobile and stationary equipment.
- Schedules and estimate time for repairs.
- Assigns personnel to make repairs.
- Evaluates repairs and take action to prevent any reoccurrence of repair.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
- Gives assistance if needed to make repairs.
- Schedules repair, maintenance, inventory parts for standard job, and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies required for operations.
- Communicates with vendors and parts personnel to ensure proper parts are being specified and ordered.
- Conducts cost analysis on all major repairs to ensure cost is within value of equipment.
- Manage maintenance personnel and evaluate work performance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises personnel within the maintenance department.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to effectively use computer to analyze operations and produce reports
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract variables.
