What the BI Developer role is about

Our Group reporting team is responsible for reporting group financials and forecasts. The team also coordinates strategy process and manages related reporting systems and tools. Your role as a BI Developer is crucial in enhancing reporting, forecasts and analyses to support both CRH group and Rudus management decisions. In our small team, you'll find both responsibility and freedom, as well as opportunities for growth based on your abilities. This role will inspire and motivate you if you love working with complex tasks, problem-solving, and have a passion for learning.

The core of your work involves managing the data flow from source systems to reporting and transforming it into an easily interpretable format. As a BI Developer, you will play a key role in Anaplan system development as an Anaplan model builder. In addition, you drive the development of our BI tools as a data analyst / engineer. Your tasks will ultimately support CRH Group and Rudus management decisions and steer BI process development at Rudus.

What success looks like in this role

During the first 6 months, you have:

• integrated well into our reporting team and connected with your main internal and external stakeholders;
• understood reporting needs of the business and leverage them in your daily work to add value within Rudus and CRH;
• taken a proactive role in management and development of Anaplan;
• analysed and understood Rudus and CRH reporting framework in a way so that you can maintain, develop and document the existing models and reporting connections;
• made corrections and updates to existing models and reports as identified by your stakeholders.

By the end of your first year with us, you have:

• fully taken ownership of Anaplan model building and existing models;
• implemented new models and improved documentation for Anaplan;
• participated and provided your professional insight in BI & Reporting roadmap work;
• provided training within Rudus Finance and Controlling in the use of Anaplan

Key hiring criteria

To succeed in the role, you need to have strong experience in Anaplan or similar financial reporting systems. You will also need to have good understanding of systems/software and databases e.g., financial planning and analysis systems, ERP systems, or BI tools. Some of the systems in use include SAP, Anaplan, Qlik and PowerBI, earlier experience in these systems is seen as a benefit. A relevant degree e.g. in business or technical field will support you. You will need to have oral and written English or Finnish with good English language skills and be eligible to work in Finland.
