Job Title: Business Development Manager - France
Reporting to: Managing Director Commercial Europe
Location: Within the geographic area of responsibility (Extensive business travel around the region)
Geographical Area of Responsibility: France

Home office option within the geographic area of responsibility (Extensive business travel around the country).

Overall Objective for The Role: Development of new business, contributing to forecasting, monitoring, and reviewing country/sales leads/supply chain performance, supply chain partner management, budget building, creation of a strategic regional plan, developing customer campaigns, and pricing strategies, always representing the company in a positive and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To drive stormwater, wastewater, DIA business growth through achieving annual budget order intake, sales revenue, and margin targets in France
  • To develop, maintain and enhance key business relationships across the whole customer chain and develop multiple routes to the different markets.
  • Manage routes to market in France for the different activities, which include annual evaluations and making recommended changes, as necessary
  • To significantly grow business in France through expansion into new target market segments.
  • To successfully create, drive & implement the French business strategy and monitor strategic objectives for territories, to ensure that agreed financial targets are achieved.
  • To monitor and review the monthly key performance indicators (sales, gross margins, profitability) and provide monthly and quarterly reports such as order & revenue forecasts.
  • To support existing and future supply chain partners.


  • Requirements:
    • Batchelors Degree (public work/Hydraulic or sales)
    • A valid driving licence
    • Passport Required
    • French and Fluent English (written and spoken)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools and CRM systems
    • A minimum of 8 years post-graduate work experience in business development.


    Competence& Qualifications:
    • Strong understanding of the water industry from stormwater to wastewater.
    • The applicant should have significant experience in solution selling and key account management within in the French construction industry.
    • The candidate would also need good mix of product knowledge of stormwater flow control and treatment.
    • An excellent understanding of the local construction marketplace, its structure and key customers is essential.


    Skills & Attributes:

    The ability to manage an area, develop sales, build relationships and to be self-motivated is a prerequisite. Proven ability to achieve sales and build the customer base, along with the good communication skills, negotiation skills and an ability to work with people from all backgrounds required.

    Objectif général du poste: Développement de nouveaux portefeuilles d'affaires, animation et suivi de la stratégie commerciale, budgets, indicateurs de ventes et prévisionnels, animation des partenaires et de distributeurs, en représentant toujours l'entreprise de manière professionnelle et positive.

    Emplacement du poste: France (National), possibilité de télétravail dans la zone géographique de responsabilité (Déplacements professionnels importants dans le pays)

    Principales fonctions:

    1) Stimuler la croissance des activités d'eaux pluviales, d'eaux usées et de monitoring en atteignant les objectifs annuels de ventes, de chiffre d'affaires et de marge en France ;
    2) Développer, maintenir et améliorer les relations commerciales clés tout au long de la chaîne de valeur client et développer de multiples voies d'accès aux différents marchés ;
    3) Développer les accès par activités au marché Français, ce qui comprenait des évaluations annuelles et la recommandation de changements, au besoin ;
    4) Développer significativement l'activité en France en étendant les nouveaux segments de marché cibles.
    5) Créer, piloter et mettre en œuvre avec succès la stratégie commerciale française et suivre les objectifs stratégiques afin de s'assurer que les objectifs financiers convenus sont atteints.
    6) Surveiller et examiner les indicateurs clés de performance mensuels (ventes, marges brutes, rentabilité) et fournir des rapports mensuels et trimestriels tels que des prévisions de commandes et de revenus.
    7) Soutenir les partenaires existants et futurs

    Langue : Français et anglais courant (écrit et parlé)
    Maîtrise des outils Microsoft Office et des systèmes CRM
    Un minimum de 8 ans d'expérience en développement des affaires

    Compétence & Qualifications:
    Solide compréhension de l'industrie de l'eau, des eaux pluviales aux eaux usées. Le candidat doit avoir une expérience significative dans la vente de solutions et la gestion de grands comptes dans le secteur de la construction et de l'industrie. Naturellement, vous aurez également besoin d'une bonne connaissance du contrôle et du traitement du débit des eaux pluviales. Une excellente compréhension du marché Français de la construction, de sa structure et de ses principaux clients est essentielle

    Aptitudes et qualités:

    La capacité à gérer un secteur National , à développer des ventes, à établir des relations et à être motivé est une condition préalable. Aptitude avérée à réaliser des ventes et à constituer une base de clients, ainsi que bonnes compétences en communication, aptitudes à la négociation et aptitude à travailler avec des personnes de tous les horizons.
