Position Overview

Coordinates and engages in accounts payable processes including entering invoices into the system, obtaining supporting documentation, and printing checks by performing the following duties.

• Review and process a large volume of invoices and ensures their accuracy (i.e., obtains proper supporting documentation, approvals and general ledger coding for all companies).

• Coordinate with regional AP group on vendor payments, invoice processing, and discrepancies with payment processing

• Work with all departments to obtain proper documentation for new vendor set ups and vendor maintenance

• Interacts with departments of the Company to ensure proper flow of paperwork for invoices.

• Works effectively and cohesively with all departments to ensure proper paperwork flow with regards to invoices and credit card expenses, as well as ensures timely and accurate payment.

• Ensures timely payment on all leases, rents, and royalties.

• Maintains a good understanding of general accounting or bookkeeping.

• Interacts with vendors as needed to resolve unusual costing or receipt problems.

• Must be able to address complaints and resolve problems

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

1-2 years of accounts payable experience preferred.

Work Requirements

Must be able to process a high volume of payables transactions

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.

Strong communication skills are necessary.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Must be a strong team player and leader

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

• Long periods of sitting and looking at computer screens

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.

• Must be able to work in confined spaces

Work Environment

Will work in office environment.
