Job Summary

This position will assist in the performance and maintenance of the financial activities of the organization with responsibility fo rthe day-to-day activities of Accounts Payable. Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares accounts payable vouchers per SOP's, ensuring proper approvals and/or documentation has been received
  • Perform 3-way match on invoices received through purchase orders
  • Familiar with accounts payable, and basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Process non-purchase order invoices received
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors and research/resolve outstanding issues
  • Prepare, review and complete workflow tickets for new vendors or for changes to existing vendors
  • Prepare weekly reports for management
  • Relays cost discrepancies and cost changes to appropriate employees
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed


Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Business Administration / Accounting, or equivalent in years of related experience or training
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Excellent communications skills, verbally and in writing with all levels within the company and vendors
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and math
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as new vendor forms, purchase orders, receiving documents, vendor statements and invoices, credit applications, and SOX documents
  • Ability to follow-up, attention to detail and organization
