The Credit Karma Intern Program is a 12-week paid internship located in Charlotte, NC. During your internship, you will be placed into a team where you will work on various projects to help Credit Karma fulfill our mission to make financial progress possible for everyone. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in weekly cohort meetings, team outings, events, and engage in discussions with Credit Karma leadership. Credit Karma is growing, and we are looking for Growth Marketing Interns to be an important part of accelerating that growth. As a Marketing Intern, you will help create highly personalized messages and product experiences that touch millions of members every day across multiple channels (including email, push notification, in-app, social media, member success). Are you ready to help us bring delightful experiences that touch millions of members? 

You will join a cohort of other Interns where together you will learn all of the skills needed for a future career in marketing, technology and content strategy. Our leadership team will guide you through an apprenticeship type learning environment with personalized coaching and also mentoring. You will have areas of ownership from the first day, with self-guided projects coupled with instruction delivered by senior talent on our team covering foundational concepts. Our team will ensure your success by creating a fun learning environment that is led by industry experts AND reinforced by shadowing, personalized reviews and feedback. 

Please Note - Our internship program will be in-person in Charlotte, NC.

What you'll do:

  • You will run marketing and other member-facing projects from conception to delivery across multiple channels
  • You will use data to identify opportunities to engage with members and will determine segmentation and targeting strategies
  • You will work cross-functionally with other teams like Product, Engineering, Copy, Design and Brand to transform your ideas into compelling members experiences
  • You will analyze initiative / campaign performance and develop strategies to promote further growth and improve member experiences

Basic Minimum Requirements: 

  • Pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in a technical or business discipline
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • You can build relationships with your team using soft skills (communication verbal and written)
  • You can build relationships with senior-level leaders and daily contacts alike
  • Experience with digital marketing, SEO, email marketing and content creation
  • You have to work on your own and thoughtfully develop and also implement recommended approaches to complex problems
  • Enthusiastic personality

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Internship in a B2C marketing role
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Statistics, Math, or Computer Science
  • Familiar with SQL / other programming languages
  • Intermediate Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) functionality
  • Dynamic personality emphasizing towards solving and creating solutions for complex problems
