Summary:

This position will be responsible for the efficient installation and reconfiguration of systems furniture within clients' facilities while ensuring timely completion of the work with a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ability and knowledge to deliver, uncrate, assemble, install and repair furniture and office equipment from various manufacturers per specifications/instructions at customer site
  • Knowledge and ability to use hand tools and/or small electric tools including, but not limited to: screwdrivers, hammers, drills and wheeled carts
  • Adheres to guidelines using padding and protection to prevent damage to product and facilities including doors, floors, elevators, and walls
  • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adheres to safety manual guidelines
  • Load and unload product from installation trucks and product shipped directly to client site
  • Install and reconfigure systems furniture within clients' facilities
  • May be required to understand systems furniture electrical requirements for hook-ups
  • Performs site clean-up by removing all packaging and inspects the finished appearance of the product to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Other duties as required

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of work experience
  • Must be able to drive company vehicles with a valid driver's license and clean driving record with the ability to successfully pass initial and annual department of motor vehicle checks
  • Requires flexibility to work irregular hours and extended shifts as needed
  • Interpersonal skills and professional demeanor to interact effectively with clients, occasionally under difficult circumstances
  • Strong verbal communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills: must be able to read, write, interpret and communicate fluently in English
  • Strong organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work accurately to meet deadlines by adapting to changes in work environment, work assignments, and/or changes in priorities in a flexible way by following direction, policies, or procedures.
  • Use analytical and decision-making skills to offer options and resolve problems in a variety of contexts
  • Required to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion in handling confidential materials and matters
  • Demonstrate commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction

Physical Demands:

  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 70 pounds in all directions
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools
  • Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in fast-paced warehouse environment daily
  • Schedule subject to change without advanced notice
