The Impact of a Travel Manager at Coupa:
The Travel Manager will be the leading Coupa's global travel & events programs by developing strategies, policies and manage suppliers alongside the Procurement team. This is a dedicated full-time position to support Coupa's growing travel demand. The goal is to ensure employee travel is safe, supports our business and is organized according to company policy while maximizing the value. This position will report into our Finance department.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and own the global travel policy which includes making ongoing updates as necessary and improvements as appropriate.
- Manage TMC for internal Coupa employees
- Support travel and hotel sourcing for events and conferences working closely with the Marketing Events team
- Analyze travel data such as frequent travelers, out of policy travelers, etc to understand what trends are and how to best support employees
- Partner with the end-users to guide preferred supplier usage and ensure traveler compliance
- Work with preferred airlines and hotels to assign status memberships for frequent travelers
- Support day-to-day travel including approving and rejecting out of policy travel, creating TMC accounts, assisting travelers who need support with bookings, etc
- Manage travel related programs such as duty of care and corporate cards
- Drive continuous improvement of travel programs and implement best practices
- Communicate travel guidelines and changes to travel program
- Manage travel page on company intranet site
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 3+ years' experience in a corporate Travel Manager role with expertise in managing a global travel program for a company of similar size and structure as Coupa. Project management and travel program knowledge with the ability to work independently but also collaborate with peers
- Bachelor's Degree or similar
- 3+ years' experience in a travel manager role, Proven experience as corporate travel manager
- Travel industry knowledge and experience, including use of TMC / booking tools
- Working knowledge of MS Office, OTBs and GDS solutions
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills
- Ability to collaborate with all types of people and build relationships throughout the company
- Ability to work cross functionally with other departments and teams to create a best-in- class travel program
- Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time-frames in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and dedication ensuring success for employees
- Tech savvy - ability to learn how to use new Coupa Travel booking tool and other platforms
- A 'can do' attitude to work that needs to get done as part of a high-growth company
- Driven individual with a high degree of personal organization and a strong passion to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Fluent in English (minimum C level) and Spanish, Portuguese a plus.
